Noah Calori starts for England A against the All Blacks XV

Innovative teenage winger Noah Caluori can press his case for a senior Test call-up after being named in the starting XV for England A to play the All Blacks XV on Saturday.

The 19-year-old scored five tries on his debut for Saracens last month and was named in England’s first autumn international squad.

After being left out of the first group set to face Fiji on Saturday, Calori was named ahead of Leicester’s Adam Rizwan to start the second-string match at Bath’s Recreation Ground.

Calori’s incredible jump and 6-foot-4 frame set him apart as a powerful aerial threat.

England coach Steve Borthwick described him as an “exciting talent”, while Saracens teammate Owen Farrell described his ability to win the ball back as “insane”., external

Ethan Roots, Exeter’s in-form back-row, who won the last of his four caps against France in March 2024, is the team’s captain.

Bath’s Max Ojomoh is positioned inside center covering fly-half, with no specialist support for Charlie Atkinson on the bench.

Elsewhere, Bristol captain Fitz Harding could make his debut for any English club on the bench. Also among the substitutes are Young Path’s front row duo, Kebo Tuipolo and Felikisa Sylla.
