💡 **What You’ll Learn**:
Notion’s integration with Anthropic clearly ran into difficulties this weekend.
Early Sunday morning, the company posted: “Anthropic’s Opus 4.7 and 4.8 models are experiencing degraded performance, causing a higher failure rate for users who choose these models in Notion AI.”
As a result, Notion said it is disabling the use of “all human forms” in its automated productivity tool.
Twelve hours later, Max Schoening, Notion’s product lead, wrote that he was “amazed” by “the number of people who are reacting to this because they want the story about the quality of the model to be the reason.” (According to public statistics on X, Notion’s post has been retweeted about 1,200 times.)
“The degraded performance was a temporary outage of service,” Schoening said. “It happens. It happens to Notion, GitHub, AWS, OpenClaw, and everything in between.”
He added that Notion has restored access to Anthropic models.
Meanwhile, an Anthropic spokesperson said in a statement: “A brief infrastructure issue caused significant errors in several Claude models for a short period of time. The issue has since been resolved. We are grateful to our users for their patience while we work to restore service.”
