Nottingham Forest: Sean Dyche dismisses job concerns amid Premier League relegation battle

Nottingham Forest Coach Sean Dyche has dismissed talk about his job and insisted one game will not determine his future.

Forest host Wolves on Wednesday but know if West Ham beat Manchester United on Tuesday their three-point advantage over the 18th-placed Hammers will disappear.

Dyche has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for January and Forest were unbeaten in four league games before Friday’s 3-1 defeat at Elland Road.

Owner Evangelos Marinakis has already sacked Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou this season, but Daiche rejected any suggestions that Leeds’ loss left him in danger.

“The owner has always been in touch with me,” Daish said.

“The owner is well aware, and I’ve made it clear to him, that it’s never going to be smooth sailing. We’ve had some hiccups, some good days and not so good days.

“We came out after the Palace game [a 1-1 draw] And you get a really important point. It was a good point after a 10v11 situation [after Neco Williams’ red card] And he [Marinakis] He was congratulating me.

“I don’t think that during one game it will be so extreme that he will suddenly say: ‘Okay, we need to change everything at the club for the fourth time.’

“You never know. But I’m realistic, and he’s realistic, about the current situation and what we’ve taken on here.

“On the same day I was [nominated for] Manager of the month, people are saying I should be fired. “This is new to me, and I’ve been doing this for a long time.”
