Aldershot’s National League statement said: “The club wants to reassure fans that the correct measures have been taken to ensure the best possible chance for the match, but the overnight weather has rendered the pitch unplayable for today’s match.”

The fixture with Solihull Moors has been rescheduled for next Saturday, January 10, with kick-off at 15:00 BST.

Rochdale were due to face Brackley at Accrington Stanley’s WAM Stadium, where they played Hartlepool United on Tuesday, losing 2-1, as work continues at home.

“Despite the best efforts of Accrington Stanley’s ground staff, with frost covers put in place immediately after the final whistle on Tuesday, very low temperatures overnight meant the surface was unplayable,” a statement said.

Woking’s stadium was evacuated on Friday but they said “freezing temperatures overnight” meant the match could not go ahead.

The Sarri club added: “We apologize for any inconvenience we caused, and to the opposition fans coming from the north.”

A new date has not yet been set for the Rochdale, Woking and Southend matches.

Yellow warnings for snow and ice went into effect in large parts of England at midnight on Thursday, and remained until midday on Friday.

More alerts were issued over the weekend and into the first part of next week.
