Saturday’s League Two fixtures at Oldham Athletic, Chesterfield and Accrington Stanley have been postponed, while Salford City’s FA Cup tie at home to Swindon Town has also succumbed to freezing weather conditions.
Pitch inspections on Thursday at Boundary Park and SMH Group Stadium found the playing surfaces frozen, while an inspection of the pitch at Stanley on Friday also led to the match being postponed.
The Latics were due to face Notts County, seventh-placed Spireites were due to welcome ninth-placed Colchester while Accrington were due to welcome Barnet.
Meanwhile, despite the use of tarps and heat lamps at Salford’s Peninsula Stadium, their third-round clash against the Robins on Saturday will take place on Tuesday 20 January (19:45 GMT).
The Ammies League Two meeting with Grimsby Town will now have to be rearranged having been scheduled to take place that evening.
Chesterfield were one of only four teams in League Two not to have their match on Sunday postponed. This is the second postponement in a row for Oldham, the Magpies and the U.S. team.
New dates for the rearranged League Two matches will be announced in due course.
