Oliver Glassner says he is “100% committed.” Crystal Palace For the remainder of his time as club manager.
The 51-year-old Austrian said last week that he would leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season.
BBC Sport reported that Glasner was offered a new contract last summer but later informed chairman Steve Parish that he would not sign the deal.
The Palace boss is frustrated with the way the club has sold key players.
Palace captain Mark Guehi was sold to Manchester City a day before their Premier League match against Sunderland on January 17.
Palace also sold striker and fellow England international Eberechi Eze to Arsenal at the start of the Premier League season.
Glasner said after the 2-1 defeat to Sunderland that his team had been “completely abandoned” by the club’s management, but in a press conference on Friday he struck a more conciliatory tone.
“I had a long dinner with Steve [Parish] “This week we talked about the situation of not selling Mark, and again the timing and the potential replacement,” Glasner said.
“I wanted to explain and it was a very good talk for both of us. I said I would do my best for a great season and Steve and I are still 100% committed.”
Glasner, who led the Eagles to their first major trophy when they beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup last season, said he had “no regrets” about his comments after the Sunderland match.
He added: “Do I think it was the best way? No, I don’t think so, but this is Oliver Glassner. I’ve always told you this is Oliver Glassner.”
“I’m not saying I’m perfect, I’d like to be. I’ve never attacked anyone personally, all I’ve done is explain my feelings.”
Glasner also made it clear that French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta will be available for Palace’s home match against Chelsea despite reports that he is set to leave the club during the transfer window.
He explained: “No offer was made and no transfer request was submitted, and he will play on Sunday. This is the situation.”
“I’ll repeat what I said two weeks ago – [for] Every player has a price at which the club says OK. “Evaluating the whole situation – the age, the length of the contract and the price is where the club says: OK, we’ve agreed the deal.”
