✅ Here’s what you’ll learn:

Scottish destroyer Nico Carrillo held no punches when discussing Bambara Koyate’s supposed lack of heart against Shadow Singha Mawynn.

The ‘King of the North’ believes the French-Malian striker simply quit and crumbled under the pressure in his loss to the Thai striker at ONE Fight Night 35.

The Glasgow native questioned whether ‘Bambi’ has what it takes to succeed in the featherweight division of Muay Thai.

Carrillo shared in a recent interview with the South China Morning Post (SCMP):

“I don’t want to offend anyone, but it looks like he’s given up, you know what I mean? At this level of fighting at this point, I don’t think you can hold your face and see if you don’t get knocked out, you don’t get a three-shot TKO, you’re out of the game, you get a bullet to the body, you get the lungs taken away from you. It’s okay, I stopped like that, didn’t I?”

He continued:

“But giving up and not getting up again? In my opinion, that’s unacceptable, and he gave up. So that’s what I think about that fight.”

Meanwhile, Carrillo will face Luke ‘The Chef’ Lessei of the United States at ONE Fight Night 37 on November 7 in Bangkok.

Nico Carrillo believes he will fight Shadow soon in a potential world title eliminator

Nico Carrillo believes he is just a few wins away from securing a world title shot against undisputed Muay Thai featherweight world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai.

However, the 27-year-old KO machine believes he will clash with Shadow Singha Mawynn sooner rather than later on his way to gold.

The King of the North said in the same interview with SCMP:

“Once Shadow and I fight, it will be a title eliminator. And then hopefully by then, Tawanchai will be ready to defend his Muay Thai belt again. That’s the way I can see it being planned.”
