📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

OpenAI has partnered with Infosys to integrate its AI tools, including programming assistant Codex, into the Indian IT giant’s Topaz AI platform.

Infosys said the integration will be used to help its customers modernize software development, automate workflows, and deploy AI systems at scale, initially focusing on software engineering, legacy modernization, and DevOps.

IT services companies in India are facing increasing pressure from a combination of slowing customer spending and rapid progress in generative artificial intelligence. Infosys shares have fallen more than 22% this year amid a broad sell-off caused by weak expectations, investor concerns that artificial intelligence tools could automate parts of traditional outsourcing work, and macroeconomic turmoil caused by the US-Iran war.

The move also reflects a broader trend of AI companies collaborating with global IT service providers to expand adoption in large enterprises. OpenAI previously partnered with HCLTech, and Infosys also struck a similar deal with Anthropic.

OpenAI gains a distribution channel to large enterprises through Infosys’ global customer base and delivery capabilities across more than 60 countries. The two companies said the deal aims to help companies move from piloting to large-scale deployment.

Infosys is ramping up its AI business. The company said earlier this year that AI-related services generated revenue of 25 billion rupees (about $267 million) in the December quarter, or roughly 5.5% of total revenue.

The deal is part of a broader push by OpenAI to expand its enterprise footprint through initiatives like Codex Labs, announced Tuesday, which involves engineers working with customers to help deploy its tools. Initial partners include Accenture, Capgemini, CGI, Cognizant, Infosys, PwC and Tata Consultancy Services, with OpenAI aiming to build a distribution network to scale adoption of Codex, which now has over 4 million weekly active users.
