Fulham Talks are progressing to sign winger Oscar Pope from… Manchester City.
Sources told BBC Sport that Marco Silva’s side are close to reaching an agreement for the 22-year-old.
Pope dropped down the pecking order at City after the arrival of Antoine Semenyu in January from Bournemouth.
“I know there are rumours, I know there are talks,” coach Pep Guardiola said on Saturday after City’s win over Wolverhampton. “But I don’t know now.”
Asked if Pope wanted to leave the club, Guardiola replied: “I think so.”
Pope, who was also interested in German club Borussia Dortmund, has made 15 appearances for City this season without scoring.
He last played on 17 December against Brentford in the Carabao Cup, when he was injured in the first 20 minutes.
Fulham have lost just one of their last seven Premier League matches under Silva and are seventh in the table after their 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday.
Bob has featured six times for Norway this year, helping them qualify for this summer’s World Cup, and will join forces with compatriot Sander Berge at Craven Cottage.
He missed almost all of last season after fracturing a bone in his leg during practice in August 2024.
The Cottages have also made a £28m bid for PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepe.
