Paul vs Joshua: The Briton says the YouTuber is a “serious fighter” but wants to “break it”.

British Anthony Joshua said he will “crush” Jake Paul and “break” the American boxer when the duo meet face-to-face to promote their heavyweight bout scheduled for next month.

Former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul – in what is, on paper, a great mismatch – at the Cascia Center in Miami on December 19.

“I will break his face and break his body,” said Joshua, 35. “I am here to prove that I am the better fighter.”

“I’m going to hit him everywhere. That’s a fighter’s mentality.

“I’d really want to hurt him. That’s what I want to do.”

Despite those words, Joshua and social media star Paul – usually known for his stage performances – exchanged pleasantries and maintained their respect for each other.

Instead, Paul targeted Joshua’s former opponent Francis Ngannou as a “joke” after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Meanwhile, Joshua has targeted British rival Tyson Fury, rejecting a £1m bet that ‘The Gypsy King’ says he will bet on Paul winning.

“[Paul] Better than Tyson Fury – he’s actually sitting here. “I give him credit for that,” Joshua said.

“I’m just here to fight. I’m going to get the job done, get my check and that’s it.”
