💡 **What You’ll Learn**:
City may not have the robotic fluency and relentless winning style of Guardiola’s teams that have won four successive Premier League titles, but those memories could still be triggered by many of the players who will come into play in the coming weeks.
One of the new faces is the giant Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who won the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain last season, and who is now looking for titles and new horizons with Manchester City.
In some ways, he is a flawed keeper, especially under crosses, but he has that uncanny and invaluable habit of making stunning saves to win games which makes up for his other failings.
He did so with a stunning stoppage-time save from Alexis MacAllister in City’s win over Liverpool which is perhaps considered a pivotal moment in their season, and he did it again here.
As the final seconds ticked away with Newcastle pressing for a point, Donnarumma used that giant winger to stretch wide to his right to keep out Harvey Barnes’ goal-bound shot.
Seconds later, the final whistle blew and Etihad Stadium was filled with celebrations.
Time will tell how important those saves – those wins – will be but City are now in a position they have thrived in before.
Win all their matches. Winning the Premier League.
Now the scene moves to north London – along with the pressure – as Arsenal face that dangerous trip to Tottenham.
