💡 Main takeaway:

WWhether she’s navigating through crowds inside a giant condom or singing along with a pussy-headed dancer, Peaches has left us with some indelible stage images over the years — and there are set to be a few new ones as she tours and releases her first album in a decade. And while you’re at it, you’ll join us to answer your questions.

Peaches, also known as Meryl Nesker, emerged from the Toronto underground in the late 1990s — her peers included Feist, her flatmate who worked in a sex shop — but she really became famous in the early 2000s after moving to Berlin. Her debut EP, Lovertits, was a treasured item in the electro-clash scene of that era, but it was the joyful and down-to-earth punk dance song Fuck the Pain Away, from her debut album The Teaches of Peaches, that really took her into the mainstream.

It began a string of great-titled albums – Fatherfucker, Some My Bush, I Feel Cream, Rub – that starred the likes of Iggy Pop, Soulwax and Kim Gordon, but there’s been a long gap since the last of those in 2015. Fortunately, the next No Lube So Rude is due out in 2026, and first single “Not In Your Mouth Never of Your Business” is a complete triumph: a sweeping statement of liberation and resistance aimed at Anyone who tries to strip away queer rights. Peaches will also be on a 27-date North American tour starting in February, where she will donate a dollar from every ticket to organizations that support transgender rights.

She has enough amazing music and world travel experiences to fill multiple lives, so please post your questions about them all in the comments below before 1pm GMT on Tuesday 18 November. We’ll publish her answers in the November 21 issue of our Film & Music section, as well as online.
