In the first meeting between the two clubs since Bath won a close match at Twickenham in June, it was the visitors who scored first.
Santi Carreras, making his debut for Bath, ran forward into midfield only to be chased by his teammates. Adam Rizwan was able to clear the ball, allowing the Argentina international to take the lead again.
Henry Arundell was first to the ball before offloading it to Frost to score a try in what was also his first start in the blue, black and white.
But this progress did not last long.
Bath were penalized in a scrum, giving the Tigers a tap-and-go from the five-metre line.
After a few blocked drives, it was Cracknell who forced his way across the line, before James O’Connor added the extras.
Bath responded in kind.
After another break from Carreras which drove deep into the Tigers’ box, the visitors recycled allowing Underhill to spin his way over the try line despite O’Connor’s desperate tackle.
Bath then extended their lead further through Redpath, as the center capitalized on Arundel’s searing pace down the touchline.
With the advent of Freddie Steward, the Scot produced a perfectly timed doll to pass by untouched.
As the match ebbed and flowed, it was no surprise that Leicester responded.
They thought they had converted a counter-attack of their own, with Hanro Liebenberg diving in the corner, only for the attempt to pass forward to be canceled out, but it proved to be only a temporary setback.
With Bath struggling terribly at the party, Leicester kicked the ball for a corner kick and the resulting roller coaster proved unstoppable, with Reveille eventually emerging with the ball.
