Luke Littler beat Premier League leaders Johnny Clayton 6-4 in a high-quality final at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff.

Littler broke Clayton in the first leg of the final, but ‘The Ferret’ responded immediately with a break of his own after ‘The Nuke’ failed to put out a 68 with three darts in hand.

Clayton’s brilliant finish gave the Cardiff fans even more to celebrate, as the 51-year-old took the lead for the first time in the final.

But Littler showed why he is a two-time world champion in a row, hitting 170 on ‘The Big Fish’ – just as he did to claim victory in the semi-final against Gerwin Price.

Both players held the shot when the final reached the halfway point and the score was three games each.

Littler nearly enraged the crowd with a nine-dart shot, but he missed a 15-point double and watched Clayton get back into the zone to check the remaining 41 in a stunning game.

The 19-year-old leveled the score with a throw before the second intermission of the match put Littler within striking distance of victory.

Littler achieved his first victory in the 2026 Premier League season in the first leg, scoring 52 points with the last arrow in his hand to climb to the top four.

“It took me a while to adapt to this tournament, like it did the first year,” Littler told Sky Sports.

“I did a really good job tonight and I’m proud of myself.

“The table looks good now, it didn’t look good when I was seventh. It shows that I had to focus on myself tonight.”

Another recent appearance for Clayton sees him remain at the top of the table, as he continues to impress on his return to the Premier League.
