📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

Of the last 30 appointments, Graham Potter has the best record, picking up 11 points from his first five games after replacing Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.

The Englishman’s time at Chelsea ultimately only lasted six months and he made 22 Premier League appearances, picking up just 17 points from his last 17 league games.

David Moyes (Everton), Roy Hodgson (Crystal Palace), Unai Emery (Aston Villa) and Ralf Rangnick (Manchester United) all returned 10 points.

Under Rangnick, United picked up two points in each of their first five league games. But his five-and-a-half-month spell ended in disappointment as United picked up just 27 points from their last 19 league games, 11 points short of qualifying for the Champions League.

Emery scored 10 points from his first five matches after replacing Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa. The Spaniard has subsequently led Villa to three successive European campaigns on course for a top-four finish at the end of this season.

While Moyes, who replaced Sean Dyche at Everton 12 months ago, helped return the Toffees to mid-table after five seasons of relegation battles.

However, of the last seven permanent Premier League appointments, three have failed to win any of their first five league games. Ange Postecoglou managed just one draw during his short 39-day spell at Nottingham Forest, while Rob Edwards (Wolves) and Ivan Juric (Southampton) lost all of their first five matches.
