Premier League predictions: Chris Sutton vs. Football Manager, the game – and the AI

Arsenal know how to win games in many different ways, and this puts them in an incredibly strong position.

They have talented players, but they also have this amazing record of scoring from set-pieces and are solid defensively as well.

We talk about machines when I’m up against an AI or a computer game to predict, but let’s face it, Arsenal are a machine at the moment and no one can stop them.

There were better Arsenal teams than this, but they were very efficient and did not concede.

That’s why we might see quite a few results where it’s ‘1-0 to Arsenal’ – as their old song used to say under George Graham in the 1990s – but when they get to the tapes, there will still be games where they split the teams.

Like other promoted teams, Burnley were very competitive and beat Liverpool and Manchester City earlier in the season, although they lost on both occasions.

The Clarets’ late win over Wolves last week was a massive result for them, which takes the pressure off them here.

You don’t get many free-kicks in the Premier League but this is one of them – Burnley probably won’t get anything from this game, but that doesn’t matter much.

I expect Scott Parker’s side to be strong, keep it close, and stay in the game, which is a sign of where they stand… but Arsenal will still win – and you can probably guess which score I’ll have.

Miles predictions: Like Leeds, Burnley performed better than I thought, but there’s a reason Arsenal went unbeaten for so long. 1-2
