✅ **What You’ll Learn**:
Wolves coach Rob Edwards may have thought his side, bottom of the Premier League, had a chance of a “great escape” after beating Liverpool on Tuesday.
So, to see two of the three teams immediately above them, West Ham and Nottingham Forest, pick up points on Wednesday was a shame for Wolves, at a time when they had given themselves so little hope.
However, their recent results and performance have improved a lot. Edwards has given Wolves fans something to smile about, and he will want to keep that positivity here.
This is a big game for Liverpool manager Arne Slott as well.
The FA Cup could be important to him this season, so he can’t focus solely on Tuesday’s last-16 trip to Galatasaray in the Champions League.
After three consecutive wins in the Premier League, Tuesday’s loss marked another stumble for Slott’s side in the race for the top four.
They were lucky with Manchester United and Aston Villa losing too, but Chelsea’s win over Villa means the Reds are outside the top five now too.
With the heat surrounding him, I don’t think Slott is in a position to afford to play a weak team here – he’ll have to be strong to try and avoid another upset result.
I still think we’ll see another surprise.
Wolves will throw everything at Liverpool. They’re still falling, but can they reach Wembley too?
Sutton predictions: 2-1
Stephen’s predictions: A few weeks ago, I would have said it was clear what was going to happen here. Now, it’s not. 2-2 after extra time, Liverpool win on penalties
Artificial Intelligence Predictions: 1-3
