Premier League predictions: Chris Sutton vs Tony McGuinness from Above & Beyond – and the AI

Liverpool badly fouled Hugo Ekitiki in their draw against Fulham, producing another lackluster display.

Arne Sloat’s side are unbeaten in nine matches so far, so their recent results have been good on paper.

But their performance is the problem. When you see them with your own eyes, they are miles away from where they were when they won the title last season, and nowhere near where Arsenal are now either.

It has to be different this time. Liverpool have been leaking goals all season, so Gunners fans will not accept Arteta sitting at the back.

I doubt Arteta will do it this time, because Arsenal are at home and Liverpool are there.

In fact, there should be zero negativity in the way it is set up. Manchester City dropped points twice in the past few days, leaving Arsenal six points behind. It has been just over six years since Arteta took charge, and this is not the time to be cautious.

The Gunners should go for that, because they are at a different level to Liverpool, and perhaps even in a different league.

No one believes Slot’s side will win the Premier League anymore, despite sitting in fourth place, and they don’t look like they can flex their muscles and go on a long winning streak either.

This won’t happen. This is an average Liverpool team this season, and Arsenal should be able to exploit all their weaknesses.

It should be very comforting for the league leaders as well.

They put up with Victor Geukeris a little, because he didn’t put them in front, but it doesn’t seem to matter, they win anyway.

Declan Rice is an imposing midfield player, he’s exceptional, and they have a lot of different ways of scoring goals.

Sutton predictions: 2-0

Tony’s predictions: Win here and Arsenal will have the fate of the title in their hands. With their first defense back, I can’t see Liverpool getting the better of Gabriel and William Saliba, so I’m anticipating a comfortable night in north London for the champions-in-waiting.
