Premier League predictions: Chris Sutton vs. WWE star Drew McIntyre – and the AI

Well, I know who’s going to win this. I’m not sure of the outcome.

What on earth is happening at Manchester United? They seem to be making it up as they go along.

I don’t understand what to think of Old Trafford, so I may be wrong here, but it seems to me that they are waiting to try to sign England coach Thomas Tuchel in the summer, or perhaps even US coach Mauricio Pochettino – who may also be a free agent after the World Cup.

Meanwhile, here we are with United treading water once again. It would have been interesting if Darren Fletcher had won both games as manager, would he still have been in charge?

We will have to see how interim manager Michael Carrick sets up United’s team – whether he plays with a back four and what shape he uses – but I don’t see it making much difference against Manchester City.

I was at St James’ Park on Tuesday and City were really comfortable against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. It was the first time I had seen Ryan Chergui physically, and when he arrived you could tell what an intelligent footballer he was.

Erling Haaland has scored just once, from the penalty spot, in his past six matches and did not score when City scored 10 goals against Exeter in the FA Cup.

So he’s due a goal, and usually scores at least one against United – he’s scored eight in six league games against them – so they need to find a way to stop him this time.

This is a difficult start for Carrick. I’ll give United a goal that will get their fans excited, but City will still get the points quite easily.
