Rahul Dravid and Ravichandran Ashwin set to take on the Scottish franchise in the European T20 Super League

The ETPL is run in collaboration with the cricket boards of Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands.

Bollywood actor and film producer Abhishek Bachchan is a part owner of the league in association with Rules Sport Tech, a private Indian company.

As BBC Sport reported earlier this year, the franchises were sold for £11.1 million ($15 million) over 10 years.

Teams will have a total salary budget of £1.1 million ($1.5 million) per season, with the inaugural tournament taking place from August 26 to September 20.

The ETPL is set to clash with England’s Test series against Pakistan, which rules out all-format players such as Harry Brook, Jacob Bethell and Jofra Archer.

But with the 2026 edition of The Hundred scheduled to run from late July to mid-August, any English player on white-ball contracts will, in theory, be available to take part.

England begin the T20 series against Sri Lanka on September 15.

Any centrally contracted English player wishing to participate will require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the England and Wales Cricket Board.

County-contracted players who only have white-ball deals will be free to play for the NOC as there is no conflict with The Hundred or The Blast.
