💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

The chef’s knife is better, which admittedly isn’t saying much. It is very rocky and lightweight. I prefer a heavier knife, especially considering how slippery the handle is. But I did manage to chop up the pile of chives, as well as the garlic and onions. This is the best review I can give: I was able to use this knife to cut things. Did I mention that my beloved Kiwi cleaver costs $15?

One Reddit user mentioned that the color of the knives bleeds, which I wasn’t surprised by, given the “these are basically kids toys” remark mentioned above. (The chefs on the subreddit have echoed my sentiments.)

Non-stick ceramic cookware set

This Paris Hilton cookware set was the perfect gift for me when I got my first apartment. Unfortunately, that was 10 years ago. (Stay tuned for our non-stick pan buying guide, coming soon!)

The specific set I tested is no longer available online, but there is a very similar version that includes the same main pots and pans. (Which is probably a good thing, because my kit came with nylon tools that weren’t as heat safe as they should be, and the new kit includes silicone versions.)

The pots and pans are very, very cute, with a shiny ceramic nonstick coating, a pink body, and gold heart-shaped handles on the lids. Non-stick performance was good. (The manufacturer recommends using low or medium heat, but I tested high heat as well.) The eggs released without a trace, and the melted American cheese was easy to scrape off.

I did notice some scuffing on the bottom of the pan after mixing it around my gas stove, but the finish remained intact.

The handles remained cool to the touch, but were a little difficult to grip. Each pan is on the lightweight side, and is not oven safe. The product page advertises that it’s easy to clean in the dishwasher, but you shouldn’t put your nonstick pans in the dishwasher! Clean and dry them by hand to preserve the paint as long as possible. According to the manufacturer, the pans are made “without PFAS, PFOA, PFOS, and PTFE.”
