📌 Here’s what you’ll learn:

Littlejohn, who was speaking alongside Ward at the press conference, said she was “sorry” about the incident with Wales international Kane.

The midfielder had until Thursday to respond to the FA’s accusations of violent behaviour, and is set to find out the outcome of his disciplinary hearing in the coming days.

“Obviously I regret letting my emotions spill out on the field,” she said. “I am a very emotional person and player.

“This is not the person I want to be on the field, so I will learn from it and move on.

“Obviously I’ve been working with my team and I hope all of this is handled properly and handled fairly, but I can’t say too much about that right now. I don’t want to hurt the process.”

Littlejohn added that she was grateful to be heading to international duty after the match and did her best to avoid social media and comments surrounding the incident.

“I’m surrounded by good people here,” she added. “They helped me through a tough week and it’s nice to be back in green with the girls.

“I’ve had a lot of support. I’ve had a strong group of people supporting me, so it’s been good that a lot of them have reached out to me. It’s been nice and I’ve stayed away from social media.

“It might be difficult because it’s going hard and fast. But I have a strong personality, a strong person, and I’m surrounded by a strong team, so we’ll be fine.”

Ward added that Littlejohn was someone she “admired” during their time working together and was “someone who wore her heart on her sleeve.”

“She admitted it was a moment she deeply regretted,” Ward said.

“We’re not talking about defending the incident here. We’re talking about what comes next, and we need to do more to protect the players.

“They are human beings and need care.”
