📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

A WRPA statement said: “We have met with the PRB to address the significant challenges currently facing the professional game in Wales.

“The WRPA has sought clear and final answers on a number of crucial matters, including the proposed transition within the professional structure, the treatment of Cardiff Rugby, licensing arrangements, and the number of Welsh teams expected to compete in the United Rugby Championship (URC) next season.

“Despite offering some assurances, the WRPA has been unequivocally clear that continued uncertainty places unacceptable pressure on players, staff and their families.

“Prolonged uncertainty around contracts, recruitment and future planning directly impacts the wellbeing of players, and timely, transparent, direct communication is essential.

“The WRPA has also raised serious concerns about recent media leaks, which have further undermined confidence during an already challenging period. We have reiterated that players must be properly informed before making public announcements.

“We have made it clear that arrangements for next season must be made no later than February 6.

“This deadline is necessary to prevent further disruption, provide stability and allow players and clubs to make informed decisions.

“Failure to provide certainty at this point will inevitably require players to reflect on their position and next steps.

“The WRPA remains committed to engaging constructively with all stakeholders and continues to work in the best interests of player welfare and security and the long-term health of the professional game in Wales.”
