Scotland confirms two friendly matches with Japan, Curacao and Hampden

I think the fans will want to say goodbye in an exciting way.

I think it’s a good match against the Japanese, I have to say that. If you look at their record in World Cup finals, they have been fantastic.

They are usually fun to play against because they are an open and attack-minded team.

I advise Scotland fans to go along with this because they have a lot of good players. Definitely a good test.

What you usually do is try to find teams that mirror the teams you’ll be playing against – and unfortunately, that’s not Japan. They are not like Brazil, Haiti or Morocco.

But it’s about getting the belief back and if you can get any result against a Japanese team with the talent that they have, their players play all over Europe and at some big clubs as well, and they have real depth in their squad as well.
