“I don’t know the club’s position, but if you took me out of the club at this moment, just being a Celtic fan, I would want all the tickets we could get – the allotment available to us under the rules.

“I assume that will be forthcoming. I thought the old company lost a bit, in the sense that the full allocation was not given, for whatever reason.

“I don’t know historically what it is. I have some idea, but it doesn’t really matter.

“It has led to us losing some great games in European football, if not the world.

“But at least there are some fans coming back and it makes a bit of a difference.

“To get the full customization like we did, going to Ibrox and having the left side packed with Celtic fans, was always fun.”

Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make his debut against Livingston on Wednesday, and key defender Kieran Tierney could be fit despite a suspected broken nose.

“He looks very good,” O’Neill said of former Liverpool and Arsenal midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain, who signed as a free agent last week.

“I haven’t chosen the lineup yet, but there is a possibility.

He added: “Kieran came out with a concussion [against Dundee] -I think he broke a bone in his nose. But he’s fine and I think he wants to be available.”
