Nottingham Forest Sean Dyche’s position is under heavy scrutiny after the goalless draw at home with… Wolves.

BBC Sport reported on Friday night that Dyche was under increasing pressure at the City Ground following the team’s poor performance in the 3-1 loss to Leeds.

Wednesday’s goalless draw against bottom club Wolverhampton led to intensified internal scrutiny of Daiichi’s job.

Sections of the fanbase began to shift, a factor marked by booing from the home team’s supporters after Wolves’ shutout.

Likewise, there is a feeling within the Forest hierarchy that Dyche’s appointment did not have the impact they had hoped for.

“The owner has been fair to me, without a doubt,” Daichi said.

“If anyone chooses to change football now, that’s their decision. We’ve all seen that.”

Dyche was appointed Forest manager on October 21, but the club remains in danger of relegation, with just three points separating them from West Ham who sit bottom of the bottom three.

Sources tell BBC Sport that Daiichi is now under great pressure amid concerns about the team’s performance.

Forest have no action until they face Fenerbahce in a Europa League play-off on Thursday 19 February.

This leaves Forest plenty of time to identify and appoint a new head coach if they decide to part ways with the 54-year-old.

If Dyche leaves and a permanent replacement is appointed, it will be the first time that a Premier League team has had four permanent coaches in one season.

Forest began the season under the leadership of Nuno Espirito Santo before his dismissal at the beginning of last September, to be replaced by Ange Postecoglou.
