Shedeur Sanders ended his debut as the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback on a successful note. The rookie led his team to a 24-10 win on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders.

In the post-match press conference, the coach’s son Prime highlighted how he had many haters and critics who wanted to see him fail on the field. However, Shedor said he won’t give in to those negative thoughts and is here to make a name for himself in the NFL.

“So a lot of people wanted to see me fail,” Sanders said. “That’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen.”

Shedeur Sanders made his debut for the Browns last week in the second half against the Ravens. He took the field after Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. However, coach Prime’s son ended his debut with a 23-16 loss at home. In that game, he completed four of 16 passes for 47 yards and no touchdowns with one interception and two sacks.

Against the Raiders on Sunday, Shedeur Sanders completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards and one pass while throwing one interception down the field. The Browns are now 3-8 while ending their three-game losing streak.

Kevin Stefanski is getting real in naming Shedeur Sanders as the QB1 of the Browns

Despite Sunday’s win, coach Kevin Stefanski would neither confirm nor deny Shedor’s chances of replacing Dillon Gabriel at the QB1 position next week.

In the post-game press conference, the Browns coach refused to give a specific answer to this question. However, Shedor praised Sanders for his performance against the Raiders.

“I’m not going to get into that,” Stefanski said according to SI. “Obviously I’m proud of him and proud of this attack, and there’s a lot of things I have to learn, but I’m going to be nervous today.

“I think you saw a lot of what Shedor does well on the field today. To get that game off the schedule when the guard outplays us, he gets the ball up the court. So there’s a lot of what he’s working on, which I appreciate in young guys who want to get better.”

The Browns will next face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Will Kevin Stefanski decide to keep Shedore as the starter after his performance against the Raiders in Week 12?
