BBC Radio Sheffield has learned that 10 parties have now provided proof of funds to officials at Sheffield Wednesday, as the process of finding a buyer for the club continues.
On Monday, a second party was held around the Championship club’s Hillsborough Stadium, after a potential buyer was given a first round last Wednesday.
A deadline has been set for Friday, November 21 – 28 days after they were placed into administration on October 24 – for bids to be submitted to the club.
There will then be a two-week negotiation period, with a deadline of Friday, December 5 to determine preferred bidder status.
In order to complete the deal, the buyer will then need to satisfy the EFL’s fit and proper test as well as full due diligence.
Wednesday occupies last place in the second division with four points after automatically deducting 12 points by the English Football League due to its entry into administration.
They welcome rivals Steel City Sheffield United to their next match on Sunday 23 November.
