Six Nations 2026: Wales v Scotland – winger Gabriel Hammer-Webb wins first title

Hammer Webb, who left Cardiff for Leicester at the start of the 2025-26 season, made his first start following his first Six Nations call-up.

The former Bath winger played age-group rugby for England, but qualifies for Wales through his mother.

The 25-year-old will become the 1,221st men’s international when he runs out at the Principality Stadium this weekend.

“He also kept pressing, never gave up, and then when he had the opportunity at Leicester, he took it with both hands.”

Costello, 25, last played for Wales when he started the 24-19 defeat to Japan in Kitakyushu in July 2025.

Ospreys fly-half Edwards has started the past seven matches in Wales’ No. 10 round and Harlequins half-back Jarrod Evans has been used as a regular substitute.
