Mann has encouraging personal memories of Twickenham having scored a try in the 16-14 defeat to England in 2024 in what was only his second international cap.

Despite the loss, the occasion gave Mann a glimpse into the importance of the match.

“It’s a big game for the country, so we will do our best to get our win on Saturday,” Mann said.

“It’s a big occasion, it means a lot to the Welsh people and the Welsh fans.

“So we know our job is to go and perform for Wales.”

England have won their last 11 international matches, including four wins in the autumn season, lifting them to third in the world.

On the other hand, Wales lost 21 out of 23 international matches, and achieved its only victories against Japan in Kobe and Cardiff in 2025.

The losing streak included an unprecedented 18-game losing streak and record home losses against England (68-14), Argentina (52-26) and South Africa (73-0).

Wales have not won a Six Nations match since March 2023 against Italy in Rome, with a record 11 successive defeats resulting in two winless tournaments.

Mann says he’s not interested in writing off Wells.

“We have this internal belief as a group, so it doesn’t matter what other people say on the outside because that’s irrelevant,” Mann said.

“We know what we can do and we know the level of players we have, so we have that self-confidence that we can deliver and change teams.

“That’s the exciting thing for us.”
