Wales continues to play matches amid off-field unrest, with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) not budging on its plan to reduce professional squads from four men to three.
Tandy and Captain Dewi Lake were to be the face of Welsh rugby and they conducted themselves impeccably.
The hooker will have played her last match for the Ospreys before her summer move to Gloucester when the Wales side reunite in the summer.
“This was the performance we built ourselves for and this group deserved it hugely,” Leck said after the win over Italy.
“We’ve been through a lot of difficult things emotionally recently, both on and off the field.”
This remains a cause for concern as Wales head towards the World Cup, with the Scarlets and Ospreys on a Professional Rugby Agreement (PRA) which expires in the summer of 2027.
Tandy’s side will next take the field against the Barbarians at Twickenham in June before three Nations Championship matches in July against Fiji, Argentina and South Africa.
By then, the WRU will have held an extraordinary general meeting, with president Richard Collier-Keywood facing a vote of no confidence, while there is also a legal battle with Swansea Council over the future of the Ospreys.
Tandy has created a positive environment for his players after outlining his approach before the season.
“If they have something to share, if they are looking for more clarity or anything they want to talk about, then we have to be open,” he said.
“The only thing we can’t do is run from it or pretend it’s not happening.”
Tandy has allowed his players to grow in their Vale Resort bubble and will aim to continue taking it all in his stride in the summer.
