💡 Key idea:

Former three-sport queen Stamp Fairtex’s Thailand rematch at ONE 173 did not go according to plan, as she suffered a unanimous decision loss to Kana Morimoto in the atomweight kickboxing tournament.

The Thai star returned after a two-year absence from the field on November 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

While Stamp showed flashes of her old personality, it was quite clear that ring rust played a major role. She was outclassed after three rounds by the ‘Krusher Queen’, who controlled the fight using her speed, size and accuracy.

While Stamp was gracious in defeat, she revealed her desire to rematch Kana somewhere down the line.

However, the 28-year-old was proud of her ability to hold her own against an elite striker like Kana.

“Yes, if I have another chance, I would like to face her again with a good body, better than now. In the second round, I punched her in the body and she was hurt, and I can see that I could hurt her,” Stump said.
