Steelers Pro Bowler Ben Skowronek reveals ‘whooping Aaron Rodgers’ as 4x MVP favorite

Aaron Rodgers has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, having won four MVP awards. However, it seems that Rodgers is not as good at Mario Kart compared to his ability to play on the court.

On Wednesday, Ben Skowronek, who earned his first Pro Bowl honor earlier in the week, spilled the beans on Rodgers’ favorite video game, but said the QB doesn’t have the best skills on the joystick.

“I didn’t expect (Rodgers) to be as humble as he is,” Skowronek told NFL insider Jordan Schultz. “He’s like a kid who loves to play football. He loves to train, he loves to play, he loves the preparation aspect, he loves his teammates. He asks about my family, about my wife.

“He really likes Mario Kart. He’s not very good at it. I’ve been getting the better of him lately. He’s just a regular guy, man, and he just happens to be the best football shooter ever.”

The LA Rams acquired Skowronek in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was part of their team that won the Super Bowl in 2022.

Skowronek signed with the Steelers in August 2024. He has forged a strong partnership with Rodgers this season.

Aaron Rodgers’ Steelers (9-6) will face the Cleveland Browns (3-12) in Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday. The game will start at 1 p.m. ET from Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

Rodgers and Co. can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Browns. Cleveland enters Week 17 on the back of four straight losses.

Rodgers hinted that this could be his final year in the NFL. If that’s the case, the midfielder will want to end his career on a high note.
