💡 **What You’ll Learn**:

He was ‘scored’ by a Wellington bouncer, as guilty as anyone of Australia’s dismal Ashes defeat, fantasized about drinking in Noosa and was found to have lied when he apologized in Sydney.

Brock has had quite the winter.

However, that was all good for England’s white-ball captain. He struck at his devastating best.

It was a surprise to see Brock walking down the stairs instead of Bethel after Salt captured Shaheen, but the thinking was smart.

It kept the right-hander away from the five Pakistani spinners on a turning pitch at the start of his innings and allowed him to take advantage of the powerplay constraints.

Brook faced three wickets in his first five balls but then caught left-arm spinner Salman Mirza for four and a six in the second.

He hit six consecutive brutal sixes over long-on while hitting spinner Mohammad Nawaz for 17 in the sixth over, before pushing a single after Banton struck Usman Tariq. The mysterious roundabout was the main threat to Pakistan.

Midway through, Brook started kicking again, hitting the leg of Shadab Khan to score six in a row. He scored all over the ground but those direct kicks and his shots through the covers were particularly eye-catching.

He reached three figures with two more hits at midwicket – one for a six and the other a bounce four.

It makes him the third man to score centuries in all three formats for England, after Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan, but more importantly it keeps them on course for a third T20 title.
