Shamar Joseph became the first player to pick four fours and four wickets in a single T20 ODI as West Indies extended their unbeaten World Cup record with a 42-run win over Italy.
Having already secured qualification for the Super 8s, the two-time champion completed a perfect record in the group stage with four wins from four at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.
Italy won the toss and elected to bowl, and got off to a positive start by dismissing opener Brandon King and hard-hitting pacer Shimron Hetmyer cheaply inside the first five overs.
Windies captain Shai Hope helped lead his side to a competitive total, compiling two straight fifties before being bowled by Crishan Kalugamage for 75 off 46 balls, including six fours and four sixes.
Ruston Chase and Shirvan Rutherford each added 24 runs as West Indies scored 165-6. Kalugamage was the pick of the Italian bowlers, finishing with 2-25 from four overs.
Italy struggled to make any impact in their chase, falling to 37-3 on the power play.
Jon Jon Smuts (24) and Ben Manenti (26) were the only batsmen to cross 20 runs for the Italians, who beat Nepal to their first-ever T20 World Cup win earlier in the tournament.
Joseph (4-30) and Matthew Ford (3-19) were the pick of the West Indies bowlers as Italy were dismissed for 123 in 18 overs. Hope advanced to the Super 8s after knocking out three of their four opponents in the group stage.
