📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

Gone are the usual bells and whistles like power windows and a central touchscreen (instead you can use your phone as an infotainment hub), and the truck comes unpainted in Composite Gray, but owners can personalize it with wraps. You can also add more than 100 custom accessories, from body panels and wheel options to kits that turn the pickup truck into a five-seat SUV, all designed for DIY assembly. Power comes from a rear direct-drive, rear-wheel drive system, producing about 200 horsepower. In what looks like the culmination of the longest teaser campaign in automotive history, the Afeela 1 will be launched in 2026. finally Be with us. The joint venture, which combines Sony’s software, sensors and entertainment with Honda’s automotive manufacturing expertise, will in the latter half of this year deliver the first Afeela 1s in California before expanding to other states and, eventually, to international markets.

The dual-motor all-wheel drive setup produces about 480 horsepower from a 91 kWh battery which should be good enough for about 300 miles of EPA range. Sony and Honda want the Afeela to stand out in technology: The car has 40 sensors — including 18 cameras, lidar and radar, and 12 ultrasonic sensors — to support driver assistance systems and future autonomous driving modes. Sony is also dabbling in the entertainment space, adding immersive 360-degree sound, integrated gaming, and the ability to stream PlayStation content during charging sessions. All of this doesn’t come cheap, as the initial Signature model will cost around $90,000.

When Xiaomi launched the SU7 electric sedan in March 2024, in China, the reception for the release was so intense that the company received 50,000 orders in the first 27 minutes of sales. That’s roughly the same number of all Cybertrucks sold to date. Two years later, Xiaomi is giving the electric car more than just a mild facelift (we’re looking at you, Tesla), with the 2026 SU7 coming with major upgrades. Lidar-based advanced driving assistance comes standard on every trim level, computing power has been dramatically increased (to 700 trillion operations per second), and the 900V architecture will provide significantly faster charging. With that battery comes impressive range claims: upwards of 560 miles have been reported on the gentle CLTC cycle in China, but that still makes it one of the longest-range electric cars in the country. The exterior design sees more subtle improvements: wider rear tires, larger brake calipers, and improved mesh details. All this for $32,800 in its home market. Beware, Tesla Model 3.
