The AEW star reacts to the “decapitation” of WWE United States Women’s Champion Julia

WWE star Julia has competed in the ring all over the world. The current AEW star, who has wrestled before, brought back memories of her “decapitation” by responding to a clip from their previous in-ring encounter.

The aforementioned star, a rising star in AEW’s women’s division, is Megan Payne. She and Julia made a name for themselves wrestling on the independent circuit. The Megasaurus then signed with All Elite Wrestling last year, while Julia joined WWE in 2024 and is on the rise to become a major star on SmackDown, currently holding the United States Women’s Title in her second reign.

The duo once faced off in a singles match at a STARDOM event a few years ago, which was considered a very compelling in-ring match. A fan uploaded a clip of the match, where Paine dropped The Beautiful Madness with a smash. The fan called it the time she chopped off a WWE star’s head. Payne noticed and chose to respond via her X account.

When Megan Payne debuted in AEW last year, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray called her Green, despite her extensive experience on the independent circuit. He justified his statement by citing his example when he started in the major leagues.

“Listen, Megan Payne is still green, okay?” The bully said. “I don’t know how long she’s been working, since the first day she was in wrestling school. This is her first real appearance in a major wrestling company. At one point, we were all still green, no matter how long we’ve been in wrestling. However, Payne has come a long way since her debut in AEW and has slowly become one of the dominant forces in their world. So it remains to be seen what the future holds for Megasaurus.
