The Ayaneo Phone has been confirmed in a teaser featuring the Remake brand name

Ayaneo is known for its retro mobile gaming consoles, but the company has now confirmed that its first phone will be available soon. Ayaneo briefly announced it was working on a phone in August during an event where it unveiled the dual-screen Pocket DS. Of course, many of the company’s portable gaming devices run custom Android, so putting a cellular modem in one isn’t that difficult.

We don’t know much about his hand. The video gives a quick glimpse of a pretty standard-looking rectangle. There are dual cameras in the top left corner, and you can see what appear to be shoulder buttons. Ayaneo wouldn’t be the only company on the market with a gaming-focused phone, but recent releases have typically eschewed physical controls. They tend to be phones first, but equipped with advanced chipsets and cooling that help them handle demanding games. Physical controls are usually reserved for accessories, but the Ayaneo may buck that trend. Of course, we don’t even know if the Ayaneo will come to the US or not, so don’t get too excited just yet.
