📌 **What You’ll Learn**:
The Dragons squad for the Montpellier match included 13 players who came through their academy.
Luke Ben Carter, blindside Ryan Woodman, hooker Brodie Coughlan and currently injured scrum-half Che Hope have all made significant improvements this season.
“All the players will be better for the Montpellier experience and what has happened over the last 12 months,” Reis said.
“You’re reviewing them and helping them grow individually, whereas in the end you have to support those players with the little bit of quality that comes through.
“Yes, they are losing Wainwright but they have also recruited and there will be more players coming.
“You slowly build that strength in depth, and that’s how the team and individuals grow.”
The hope will be that full-back Hugh Anderson, who was active as a substitute in the semi-final, and back-row forwards Harry Beddall, Ivan Minto and Jordan Morris, can follow in the footsteps of those who have impressed this year.
The Dragons have used 49 players this season, but their Challenge Cup group stage defeat to Benetton, when the Italians scored 11 tries in a 74-21 win, revealed their lack of depth in certain areas.
Cardiff managed to rotate through a combination of challenging for the URC play-offs and qualifying for the European knockout stages.
The Dragons, who enjoyed a budget boost after signing a new Professional Rugby Agreement last year, are not quite there yet as they play catch-up to Welsh rivals after seasons of underfunding.
