An AEW star is likely to leave the Jacksonville-based promotion within the next few months. Danhausen has been one of the most beloved figures in professional wrestling, and fans have shown him support despite his absence from television. He was not seen in the company for about two years, and was not involved in any creative plans.

The Very Nice Very Evil’s contract was supposed to expire a few months ago. However, instead of letting him go, Tony Khan decided to add injury time to his deal. His last appearance in the company was at ROH’s Final Battle event in December 2024. Danhausen’s latest update may please his fans.

Dutch Mantle believes AEW’s Danhausen should join WWE

The 35-year-old star was rumored to be joining WWE before overtime was added to his deal a few months ago. He is good friends with CM Punk in real life, and many believe this could lead to him joining the global sports entertainment giant.

While talking Story time with Dutch Mantlethe veteran claimed that Danhausen would be put to good use in WWE.

“Danhausen, I think they’ll have to change his name, you know, and they could do a lot with him. [Host: ‘What would you change it to?’] Well, I don’t know unless they could use something like that. They can come up with something; It’s not the name, it’s the character, and I’ve always liked the character. So where did he get that character? He just came up with that? It’s a good idea. So, I would love to see him in WWE. “It’s tailored for them anyway,” Mantle said.
