📌 **What You’ll Learn**:

The franchise’s name change comes after RPSG bought a 70% stake in the team, with the organization already owning Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Super League and Durban’s Super Giants in SA20, South Africa.

Under their previous name, Manchester United were unable to secure the 100 title in their first five seasons, despite the men’s team losing finalists in 2022 and 2023.

Buttler, the former England white-ball captain, and Ecclestone have played their entire careers with the Manchester club.

Lanning signed after playing the last two seasons at the Oval Invincibles and London Spirit, while Dawson has spent the past four years at the Spirit after starting his career at Hundred at Southern Brave.

Mandana spent the period from 2021 to 2024 at Brive, winning the tournament in 2023, but did not play in the tournament last year.

Langer has coached the Lucknow Super Giants since 2023 and captained the London Spirit last year, while Mott, who had a hugely successful spell coaching Australia’s women between 2015 and 2022, takes up his first head coaching role since leaving his England post in 2024.

They replace fellow Australians Simon Katich and Michael Klinger respectively, while the duo will be overseen by compatriot Tom Moody, who guided the Oval Invincibles men to three successive titles between 2023 and 2025 before taking over as global director of cricket with the Super Giants in November.

The team badge has also changed, and now features an elephant.
