The Samsung Galaxy Watch is discounted on Amazon

While iOS users If you have an easy smartwatch option in the Apple Watch, Android owners have a few additional options, in addition to face shapes, to choose from. The semi-circular Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic have a unique look and a host of healthy features, and are currently priced as low as $280 at Amazon for the 30mm Bluetooth version, or as low as $433 for the Watch8 Classic.

As the first watches to use Google Wear OS 6, these watches created a buzz when they were released with larger, bolder watch faces and an improved interface that displayed more information. It has a 1.5-inch AMOLED display that’s large even in the 40mm version we tested, and has more than enough brightness to check on a sunny day.

Both watches feature the kind of physical activity and health tracking data you’d expect from a modern smartwatch, including steps, heart rate, sleep quality and bedtime guidelines, which recommends when to go to bed, if you can’t work that out yourself. You can also use the optical sensor to measure your antioxidant index to help track what you eat without manually logging your meals.

Battery life is a key factor for any smartwatch, and the smaller 40mm size didn’t impress us, running for around 20 hours, about half the runtime claimed by Samsung. The more expensive Watch8 Classic lasted nearly two full days, even with the addition of some tracked physical activity. If using the battery for more than a full day is the main selling point, I would consider upgrading.

While only the graphite and silver models are in stock as I write this, there are discounts for both the 40mm and 44mm sizes across both Bluetooth-only and LTE-connected options. You can also get a good discount on the more luxurious Watch8 Classic, which I spotted at $433 in black or $450 in white.
