AEW President Tony Khan made a huge announcement regarding two former WWE Superstars to Dynamite on Wednesday. The stars are scheduled to have a big match after feuding with each other for several months.

Tony Khan announced the immediate future of former WWE Superstars, Toni Storm and Marina Shafir. The Timeless One has been in a feud with Marina Shafir for the past few months. The two were against each other in a women’s Blood and Guts match, during the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament, and a Mixed Nuts Mayhem match at Worlds End 2025.

Last Wednesday on Dynamite, Storm teamed with Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong and were defeated by Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia in a three-way match. On the final episode of Collision, Storm attacked Shafir from behind during the main event match between Darby Allin and Wheeler Utah.

After their brawl at Collision, a singles match between Toni and Marina was finally announced after weeks of tension. It was revealed during commentary that Tony Khan has made the singles match between Toni Storm and Marina Shafir on Wednesday’s Dynamite official.

The former WWE Superstar has given the male AEW star a new name

Former WWE superstar, Toni Storm, recently gave AEW’s male star a new name, Orange Cassidy. Storm and Cassidy teamed up in a Mixed Nuts Mayhem match at Worlds End 2025. During the match, the two also shared a viral moment, where they did a little dance while taking out their opponents. The clip also spread on social media.

When Tony and OC interacted backstage at Dynamite last Wednesday, The Timeless One had a new name for Cassidy. The storm was named Cassidy, the “citrus boy.”
