After some recent events in AEW, Tony Khan may have to make a decision that could impact a major main event scene. Could a major champion end up being stripped of his title due to his recent actions?

Ricochet is currently the National Champion, and has been a fighting champion, putting that title on the line on multiple occasions. However, sometimes, Gates of Agony always participates in his matches. He can exploit chaos to keep his opponents at bay.

His last victim was Jack Perry. A few days ago, on AEW Dynamite, this match took place. To make matters worse, the Gates of Doom were present again, and Toa Liona ended up taking out Luchasaurus, who was at ringside. Aside from getting the win, The Demand left a lasting impression, as they injured Luchasaurus’ shoulder by brutally smashing it into the guardrail.

Tony Khan could intervene and stop the group before they come up with more victims. He could strip Ricochet of his title to make an example of him and deter other champions from trying more stunts like this.

Unfortunately, this may just be wishful thinking, as there has never been an instance where this has ever happened. Realistically, TK might just end up fining The Demand for their recent behavior, or at most, giving them a brief kayfabe suspension.

Luchasaurus has been removed from AEW TV

The former TNT Champion’s shoulder injury was reportedly legitimate. Fightful Select reported that he was taken off television as he is set to miss time due to injury.

This has apparently been happening for some time, as during his brief appearance at the Zero Hour pre-show at AEW Worlds End, his shoulder was fully taped, and they also made a way for him to not be at ringside the entire time during his match.

There has been no timetable for recovery, and it appears that Jack Perry will have to be a singles competitor in the near future. He could be seeking revenge on The Demand after what they did to his tag team partner. Ricochet may have to keep his eyes open, as his actions could end with consequences.
