Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of BK Hacken defender Hanna Vik on a long-term contract, subject to international clearance and a work permit.

The 22-year-old becomes the second signing of the transfer window for Martin Ho’s side, after they agreed a deal for Norwegian winger Signe Jaobset in November.

The full-back, who has one cap for Sweden, has been with Haken since she was 16 and has made 107 appearances in total for the team since making her debut in 2020.

“It’s a great feeling to be here, I got goosebumps when I put the shirt on,” Vick said.

“It has always been my dream to move from Sweden and play in this league.

“I love the league and I watch a lot of it from home, so I’m really looking forward to playing here in England, and also for Tottenham.”

Head coach Ho added: “Hannah has been in demand across the market and we are absolutely delighted that she has decided that Tottenham Hotspur is the right club for the next stage of her career.

“Her selection reflects the ambition of the project and the clarity of the path we offer, and we are confident she will grow with us while helping to raise the group’s competitive standards.”

Hacken’s team-mate Matilda Nelden, 21, remains a target for Tottenham, while they are also hoping to land Japan international Mika Hamano, 21, on loan from Chelsea.
