Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur will be out for three months due to a hamstring problem

Bentancur’s absence comes with Franck under pressure amid his team’s faltering form and growing unrest at the club.

Tottenham is ranked 14th in the English Premier League and was eliminated from the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday when it lost to Aston Villa.

Tottenham fans booed the team in the first half, as their team trailed 2-0, and fans plan to protest the club’s performance in their home match against West Ham on Saturday.

Fan group Change for Tottenham asked fans to bring banners, flags and yellow scarves to protest inside the stadium before the Hammers match.

It comes after the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust (THST) accused the club of a “significant decline in ambition” after meeting with senior figures at the club.

Change told Tottenham: “There is growing frustration within the fanbase surrounding the board’s transfer strategy, clarity around the role of the director of football, our ongoing injury crises season after season, recent results/performances on the pitch and exorbitant ticket prices.”

“We believe that acting now will hopefully mean our voices will be heard at such a pivotal time during the January transfer window.

“Our first team and squad need serious investment, and with the Luis, Vinai Venkatesham and Fabio Paratici family trust telling fans they are ready to be ambitious and prioritize trophies after Daniel Levy steps down, all we ask as fans is that these promises are fulfilled.”
