💡 Key idea:
Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): Man of the moment. Many Arsenal fans, including my son, were wondering if he was the man to take them to the top. Three goals in the north London derby and now they want to make a statue of him. Goals, composure, he ran the show. The best player on the field.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): This is probably the only thing I agree with Thomas Tuchel, he has now reached a point where it will be very difficult to rule out Morgan Rogers.
I didn’t think he had a great start to the season, I thought he was fairly qualified and thought maybe he could have gone to Chelsea, maybe he wanted to, but he seems to have settled. Two brilliant goals against Leeds clearly dragged his team from behind. He was the difference maker.
Callum Wilson (West Ham): I said he didn’t seem like himself. He looked like he lost a yard. But cool. That’s all I can say. It was excellent. Exceptional in its approach and in its ending.
Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): Really interesting player. He’s playing well, usually better off the bench, but Anthony Gordon has an injury so he has to play. He missed a big chance against Manchester City when the score was 0-0 with his easiest shot. But having the mental fortitude to put himself in tough situations and score two goals was fantastic.
