📌 Key idea:

The Dublin native has found a home in the Netherlands and more specifically in Alkmaar.

He scored 20 goals in 47 games last season, including four goals in a 9-1 win over Heerenveen as AZ Alkmaar finished fifth in the Eredivisie.

Parrott then started the 2025–26 season in impressive form with 10 goals in his first seven matches before a knee ligament injury halted his momentum for club and country as he missed the September window.

He came back and hit the ground running again, scoring three more league goals to help Arizona finish third in the table.

Top clubs may now be circling given his prolific scoring rate, but Parrott appears settled in the Netherlands and would likely consider a move to Europe rather than a return to England if he decides to move on.

On the international stage, 2025, or more specifically November of this year, has proven to be his time to shine after a disappointing few years for his country.

Since his debut in 2019, Parrott has scored five goals for the Republic of Ireland. He was guilty of playing well but wasting some big chances.

Since November he has five more goals in just two matches.

With his confidence high, Irish fans will be hoping he can stay fit and active between now and March, as he looks to step up again and help the Republic of Ireland win their first World Cup in 24 years.

If he does, Dublin Airport may seriously consider rebranding the boy from the north side of the city who frequently flies out of the airspace.
