Vietnam Bill Billy
7.15pm, Channel 4
Amid a deluge of celebrity travel stories, Bill Bailey is actually an entertaining guide as he explores Vietnam (“I think of a sandwich I had in 1982,” he admits during one meditation session). Billy begins in Hoi An, an old international trading port, where he meets Chef Duc – an asylum seeker during the war who is now famous for his food. Next, it’s time to get a jazzy suit made by the tailor in time for the Lantern Festival. Holly Richardson
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show
6.45pm, BBC One
In the series finale, Jade Thirlwall heroically checks her phone for the Send to All challenge (with a surprise twist); Love Island’s Tasha Goree helps organize an unexpected, heart-warming surprise, which involves turning the Royal Drury Lane Theater into a train station; British-Italian singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti gives an emotional live performance. BRIT Awards 2026
At 8.15pm on ITV1
Wolf Alice, Harry Styles and Rosalía are among the acts set to take place at this year’s big pop night. Olivia Deen (who also plays live) and Lola Young both received the most nominations, and Pulp are up for Group of the Year – meaning Jarvis Cocker returns for the first time since Michael Jackson’s boycott in 1996. The Roman Empire by Train with Alice Roberts
8.15pm, Channel 4
Professor Alice continues her epic Roman journey by exploring an underground hotel in Parma. Then we move to Turin, where Italy’s ancient love story with bread began. Carbohydrate loading should fuel the final leg of the loop: a dramatic train ride through the Alps. Is this the route that Hannibal once took on the back of an elephant? Ellen E. Jones
Classical hits in the piano room
At 8.30pm on BBC Two
The latest TV gimmick designed to tempt artists into doing a different live version of their biggest hits, Radio 2’s Piano Room has remained in operation long enough to have a significant back catalog of its own. This collection of performances includes Coldplay do Paradise, Macy Gray’s reinterpretation of I Try, and 10cc’s I’m Not in Love which survives the transition from lush pop to orchestral sweep. Jack Seale
The Walsh sisters
9.20pm, BBC One
The intelligence and warmth of Marian Keyes’ writing shine through this Irish drama about five sisters. Anna and her fiancé Aidan are in the hospital after a car accident, forcing Rachel to reconsider her life and arrange a place for rehab. But when she gets to Cloisters, she remains adamant that she is not like the other addicts there. Human resources

Bring It Back, 10.20pm, premiere on Sky Cinema
The harrowing follow-up to Danny and Michael Filippo’s horror debut Talk to Me features a performance of sly, nervous energy from Sally Hawkins that will leave you in awe. Not to mention a scene involving teeth might have you hiding behind your hands. Hawkins plays Laura, a foster parent — and grieving mother — who takes in 17-year-old Andy from Billy Barrett and his visually impaired younger half-sister Piper (Sora Wong). She does take care of Oliver (a bizarre Jonah Wren Phillips), who is speechless and clearly upset. What is Laura up to beyond parenthood (there’s a clue in the title) and why is she particularly interested in Piper? Simon Wardle
A Clockwork Orange, 12.10am, Sky Cinema Greats
From Anthony Burgess’s sharp, dystopian novel, Stanley Kubrick has created a bleak comedy that is both insightful and historical. The film centers around Alex (a career-defining role for Malcolm McDowell), a young gang leader who loves “ultra-violence” and Beethoven. The state tries to rehabilitate him through experimental psychological conditioning – but you can’t keep well… The film’s sexual politics leave a lot to be desired, but its 1960s stab at futuristic design still has its charm. Fidi is fine! Southwest
