Movie choices

The Wedding Feast, 9.25am, 6.10pm, premieres on Sky Cinema

This remake of Ang Lee’s 1993 comedy-drama covers the same theme of hiding one’s sexuality in exchange for a green card, but in these more open times its premise needs to be doubled down. So we have Angela and Lee (Kelly Marie Tran and Lily Gladstone), a gay couple in Seattle, in the midst of expensive IVF, and their friends Chris (Boen Yang) and Min (Han Ji-chan), who doesn’t recognize his wealthy Korean grandmother. Partner Swapping is a bit comical if it lacks real danger, but it’s an interesting LGBTQ film about marriage and motherhood. Simon Wardle
